Olive Leaf
Olive oil contains compounds known as polyphenols such as hydroxytyrosol, oleuropein complexes and tyrosol. Olive oil and olive leaves (which also contain these complexes) have been consumed for thousands of years in Mediterranean countries where olive leaves are added to salads.
Metabolics Olive leaf contains 20% oleuropein (polyphenol). Each olive leaf capsule provides 17.5mg polyphenols. In doses of 5mg or more these polyphenols are able to contribute to the protection of blood lipids such as LDL particles from oxidative stress.
